Live Chat allows you to message a Brain in Hand coach directly through the app.
Live Chat provides focused coaching support to help you work through a situation, challenge, or opportunity and identify practical next steps.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply need support to move forward, a coach can help you explore options, build confidence, and develop a practical way forward.
What can Live Chat help with?
Live Chat can help you:
- Talk through a challenge you're facing
- Explore options and possible solutions
- Break tasks into manageable actions
- Build confidence in making decisions
- Stay focused on your goals
- Make the most of Brain in Hand tools and resources
- Access other Brain in Hand support, including coaching sessions and the Response Service
What should I expect?
A typical Live Chat conversation may include:
- Exploring what is happening for you
- Identifying what feels most important right now
- Reflecting on possible options
- Agreeing a manageable next step
- Signposting to relevant support or resources
If a topic would benefit from more time and space, your coach may suggest booking a coaching session.

Availability
Live Chat is currently being introduced as part of a phased rollout and will become available to more Brain in Hand users throughout June and July.
If Live Chat is available to you, you'll see a Chat option in the Brain in Hand app menu bar

If you can't currently see Live Chat in your app, don't worry – access is being introduced gradually and will continue to be rolled out over the coming weeks.
Response times
During supported hours, we aim to respond within 30 minutes. Often, responses may be quicker, but response times can vary depending on demand and coach availability.
You can send messages outside supported hours, and we'll reply when the service is next available.
